Recipe Notes
  • Make sure that the Coconut Flour you buy is organic and the label states only 1 ingredient…..”Organic Coconut Flour”.
  • When buying Applesauce, make sure there is no added sugar to it and there are no nasty fillers.
  • The applesauce I used in the recipe had cinnamon in it. If your applesauce does not cinnamon and you like the flavor, add 1/2 tsp of cinnamon to the recipe.
  • The muffins do not rise a lot and have a denser, cake like texture but are more airy and light.
  • I always use the “If you Care” brand for lining my tray and I have never had any problems, can’t say for other brands though.
  • I do not like super sweet muffins, but if you enjoy that, add another tbsp. of sweetener to the recipe.
  • For an extra indulgence add chocolate chips or nuts on top.
